Scenesters venture into this historic space in the lower level of a former bank to soak up the quirky decor (safe-deposit boxes and other remnants date from the 1920s) and gastropubby food from chef Mark Steuer (also behind Carriage House). Steuer keeps it simple and seasonal with dishes like grilled pork chops over a sweet potato and brussels sprout hash, and sates late-night appetites with a solid burger. None of it quite compares with his work down the street at Carriage House, but a cocktail in a classy vintage bank vault is a nice way to start (or end) the night.

Yes, it would be a great place for drinks, if you could get one. Stopped in with friends, sat at their fully staffed and empty bar and was ignored for 10 minutes. Finally moved to a cocktail table. Their list consisted of 4 drinks: 2 Pisco, 1 Vodka and 1 Whiskey cocktail. With all the talented mixologists in this city, that was the best they could come up with? We sat with empty drinks in an empty room for far too long. Can't wait to NOT go back.
