Average main course: $12There’s always a wait for a table at the Lucky Platter. All three square meals are favorites with both locals and NU students, who crowd into the small booths and tables. Peruse the extensive collection of art on the walls while you wait, and once you’re seated, try the veggie-potato hash at breakfast, the jambalaya at lunch and tandoori chicken at dinner. The sides are fantastic: Mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet-potato fries and gratis corn bread are all equally tasty.
