Seemingly untouched by neighborhood change, this cozy, attitude-free diner is all about breakfast. Ukrainian Village locals stumble in for fluffy omelettes with golden hash browns or the house special, Smokey Mountain eggs: an artery-busting plate of biscuits topped with sausage gravy, eggs and bacon. But it’s not all hearty, starchy fare. The neighborhood’s Mexican influences are reflected in plates of chorizo and eggs with a zippy green tomatillo salsa, as well as savory chilaquiles.
