The Bad Apple advertises that it proudly serves burgers made with beef from Pat La Frieda, a wholesale butcher who’s been operating out of Manhattan for nearly a century. That’s supposed to be a mark of excellence for the burgers, but we still have a habit of loading them up with gourmet toppings to make the flavor pop. The skin-on fries, crisped to a deep brown and liberally salted, are standout; ditto for the solid beer list.

the bad apple is precisely what the name evokes, "bad" bad service bad food bad beer cross the street to either cullen's or the goose if you want to eat and drink how the bad apple has remained open this long is mind boggling unless they pay for reviews such as yours to help propagate the myth and keep the doors opening...
