Bakin’ and Eggs

Expansive, kid-friendly and straightforward more aptly describe this breakfast-and-lunch emporium than its given surname, A Lovely Idea. (It’s owned by the same folks as Lovely: A Bake Shop.) Though the preparations may not be delicate or especially sophisticated, it’s hard to go wrong with bacon, either in a flight (five strips, each coated with a different glaze) or floating in a creamy potato soup. Other dishes (a spongy meatloaf sandwich, unremarkable pumpkin pancakes) unfortunately read better than they taste—which makes them most well-suited for those who are too young to read anyway.
