Joey's Shrimp House

There are plenty of ways this shrimp house distinguishes itself from some of the older games in town. The most obvious: the decor, which utilizes boat paraphernalia to surprisingly charming effect. When it comes to the food, Joey’s doesn’t seem much different than its competition—it’s basically just shrimp, frog legs, catfish and hush puppies, with a crab-cake sandwich thrown in. All of it is fried to crisp, greaseless perfection. But until this place starts seasoning the batter more aggressively, we’re going to stick with the old standards.
