Bone appetit
Gobble up these tips on yummifying your parts and becoming an oral-sex maestro.
Don’t eat the garnish
Just like food presentation, how you dress your private parts is key. Not only so your partner doesn’t end up flossing his or her teeth with your overgrown hairs, but so that you look appetizing and worthy of an “ooh” rather than a “ew.” Most people appreciate some attention to presentation: According to a 2005 Men’s Health/Cosmopolitan survey, 79 percent of women and 76 percent of men prefer a groomed look. Want to try waxing? Ask to have the wax tested on a nongenital body part if you have sensitive skin or worry about breaking out in a suspicious-looking rash down there. For grooming, try a bikini trimmer (available online or in drugstores), which will help you get a neater appearance than you would using nail clippers or kindergarten-sized scissors. And although sexual cleanliness is important, there’s no reason to go overboard. Women should wash only with water and their hand, unless directed otherwise by a health-care provider, as feminine “freshening” wipes can cause vaginal or vulvar irritation. Because men’s genitals are covered with sturdier skin and less sensitive, a gentle cleanser or soap usually does the trick.
