Appetite for seduction
Chicagoans speculate on how seemingly innocent foods could be beneficial in the bedroom.
Sheffield and Roscoe avenues
Are you a couple?
Do you use food in the bedroom?
C We’ve talked about it. We were going to but—we’re both vegan—and the soy whipped cream didn’t work so well, so it didn’t ever make it to the bedroom. I think I bought a bad can; it didn’t come out so well.
Since you were considering it, we have some props. So how about this cucumber?
C Omigod, that’s so awkward! You can assume how we might use it.
How about this pineapple—granted you could cut it or use it whole.
D I want to eat it. [Laughs]
C That could be kind of rough fun. It’s kinda scary on the outside, so I might have to cut it. I’d probably just eat it.
Would you rather have an amazing meal or amazing sex?
C Well, I’ve already had amazing sex, but I’d still choose sex.
Does food ever strike you as sexy?
C Not really. It’s kind of utilitarian.
