A new take on Prada’s original Amber pour Homme, Amber pour Homme Intense has hints of everything from bergamot and vetiver to leather and saffron. $100 at Macy’s (111 N State St, 312-781-1000).

It smells musky, leathery and a little like mildew. Actually, kind of a lot like mildew.

This takes me straight to a barn: I smell cows, a general fermentation kind of odor. To be more generous, I’m also getting a wet-woods pine vibe.
