Anna Wintour comes to Chicago for Runway to Win event
Vogue editor Anna Wintour, supermodel Iman and more set up an Obama pop-up shop at Harpo Studios.
Even though he’s known for wearing mom jeans, it looks as if President Obama’s a bit of a fashionista. Or at least his supporters are. Vogue editor Anna Wintour, designer Rachel Roy and supermodel Iman are among the bold-faced names descending upon Harpo Studios Tuesday 12 for a Runway to Win fashion/Obama re-election fund-raising event (sans any actual Obama appearance). The night unveils a pop-up shop that features 2012 Obama-related merch by big-time designers. Look for a Marc Jacobs–designed T-shirt ($45), a chic tote by Derek Lam ($75), an Alexander Wang hoodie ($95) and more. Tickets start at $150 (and go up to $2,500, which includes a dinner and photo reception with the attending celebs). But if it happens to sell out (or you’re feeling supportive, but broke), many items from the pop-up shop are available to purchase online. Harpo Studios (110 N Carpenter St, runwaytowin.com). Tue 12 at 6pm.
