  • Baggu backpack

One reason we’d like to visit New York this season: BAGGU’s recently opened Brooklyn pop-up shop. Our consolation: We can still get this hot yellow cotton BAGGU backpack online. $34 at baggubag.com.

  • Men's Dept grooming products

Two pros from Aveda and American Crew have teamed up to create a new men’s grooming-product line, MENSDEPT. We love the minty fresh scent of the shampoo and conditioner, but it’s the grooming cream that really has us coming back for more. The product holds hair in place without adding extra shine or stiffness. $18 at Urban Lift Salon (3639 N Ashland Ave, 773-281-5438).

  • Nike shoes

Just when we thought Nike had outdone itself with the FuelBand, it kicks our butt into gear with the Nike Lunar Hyperworkout+, which measures how fast and how high we move with hyper-futuristic foodbed sensors that send the information back to your iPhone. Paired with an iPhone training app that creates customized workouts, it’s the next best thing to personal training for a fraction of the cost. $220 at nike.com.

  • Vjay app by Algoriddim

Song mash-ups are so last year. Video mash-ups are where it’s at, and the new Vjay app allows you to mix up videos on your iPad. You can use videos purchased from iTunes, personal video footage and even songs from your iTunes music library. The app also comes with a free bundle of preloaded music videos and other footage to get you started. $20 at itunes.apple.com (the limited-time price of $10 may still be available this week).
