Clearly, Dion Antic practices the “try and try again” approach to his professional life. The man has been attached to countless restaurants and bars—Porkchop, Shady Lady, Iggy’s, Bagel on Damen—and Wicker Park boutique Him and Her, many of which have come and gone, but Antic (pictured) keeps on keeping on. This time around, his aptly named Bucktown shop Roadtrip sells fixtures and accessories from his former businesses, plus quirky, mostly vintage finds like tricycles and typewriters from his travels. He also plans to partner with local firm Hammer Design to create new furniture and light fixtures. Maybe this will be the business that sticks. 1920 N Damen Ave (773-964-8300).—Jessica Herman
