Holiday store window displays
It’s the most wonderful time of the year for these downtown Chicago store windows.

BHLDN(8 E Walton St, 312-573-2573) Wedding wear and accessories are a big focus of this boutique chain, but many of the dresses featured here can work for any special occasion. We’re also enjoying the homemade snowflakes hanging in the window. We’d break the window for Both of those red dresses just scream Christmas cheer, don’t you think?
Louis Vuitton(919 N Michigan Ave, 312-944-2010) This Mag Mile boutique never disappoints with its creative displays. The Vuitton folks aren’t going overboard this holiday season, instead focusing on a 1970s-esque vibe with muted tones and a lot of gold. We’d break the window for We have a feeling those gold, textured pants would look good on anyone.
Macy’s(111 N State St, 312-781-1000) Parading past the holiday windows at Macy’s State Street location is a holiday tradition for many Chicagoans. This year’s theme is “The Magic of Christmas” and follows the holiday traditions started when the store was called Marshall Field’s. We’d break the window for These windows sure do make us crave a meal in the Walnut Room under the huge holiday tree.
Ralph Lauren(750 N Michigan Ave, 312-280-1655) The Great Gatsby movie might’ve been pushed back until next year, but you can still get your 1920s Deco fix via this window display. We’re digging all the winter whites. We’d break the window for Nothing says elegant holiday party like a pair of elbow-length cocktail gloves.
Sofia(100 E Walton St, 312-640-0878) This local boutique’s new space has more of a grown-up feel to it, and the window reflects that. These mannequins are dressed to go to a sophisticated holiday party. We’d break the window for The black lace dress is perfect for an upscale family gathering.
Urban Outfitters(935 N Rush St, 312-640-1919) It’s like Noah’s ark is throwing a holiday party with the cutouts of a pig, deer, birds and other animals. We’d break the window for We’ve been seeing a lot of camo pants recently. We’re okay with this trend.
Zara(700 N Michigan Ave, 312-255-8123) This Spanish chain’s windows always veer on the classy side, with a subtle touch of garland in the corner. We’d break the window for See that guy on the box? We think we just found our New Year’s outfit.

It's okay to be a show-off.
