Pretty in pink
Stand-alone boutiques by big-name designers are multiplying like bunnies in this town (Tory Burch and Jimmy Choo, to name a couple). We’re happy to report that Nanette Lepore has just joined the ranks. The Ohio-born garment maker’s feminine flair is reflected in her Bucktown shop, but with a baroque twist: cotton candy–colored pink wood floors paired with vintage chandeliers and a French-style banquette. And like always, her collection of boho-fem clothing doesn’t disappoint. Fall highlights include a plum-hued beaded tunic dress ($635), a short-sleeve, teal silk blouse with a keyhole front ($215) and a ruched, high-waisted pencil skirt ($230). There’s also an array of sexy shoes like the “Bewitching Booties,” suede ankle boots with a dip front ($455), and the dressed-up black-sequined Nanette Lepore for Keds High Tops ($100). We’re tickled pink. 1623 N Damen Ave between North and Wabansia Aves (773-489-4500, nanettelepore.com).
