Why start a street-style fashion blog?
I used to contribute to a street-style blog in my native São Paulo, Brazil, and it was a bit hard to find stylish people walking around—unless you went to the right places. When I got to Chicago, I was very pleased to see a lot more fashionable people around, and I felt I’d have plenty of material for a street-style blog. The last [incentive] was when I saw this überstylish lady buying accessories at Forever 21 and I didn’t have a camera with me. I felt so frustrated I knew I had to do something.

What does it take to get you to stop someone on the street?
I think what I’m looking for is a coherent and original look. I love it when I see someone superstylish but completely unaware of it. Those are my favorites. They are the ones that dress like that every single day.
