Between the black-on-black striped, painted walls in the main room, cherub wallpaper in the washroom and chandelier at the entrance, Heather Bocek has good reason to describe her Lakeview “hair house” as a “Marie Antoinette [meets] Alice in Wonderland salon of sorts.” With the help of seven stylists, Bocek offers moderately priced cuts ($45 for women, $35 for men), coloring ($60–$100) and waxing ($12–$40).
