Analicia Wilson at Salon Blue

Street cred Wilson has been a stylist for four years and has spent the majority of her career at Salon Blue (2915 N Sheffield Ave, 773-525-2583). She says she’s always felt a calling toward this profession. “Since an early age, I’ve been trying to re-create looks I’ve seen in a movie, magazine or on the street,” Wilson says. “I have a passion for making people feel more beautiful.” While she loves styling a variety of looks (beachy waves, vintage-inspired ’dos, blowouts and modern French braids are some of her faves), Wilson says she enjoys her job because she gets to do a little bit of everything, including color and makeup. “We consider ourselves beauty experts,” she says.

Why we love her Reader Heather Whinna e-mailed us about her love for Wilson: “Analicia has been styling my hair twice a week for a couple of years now. I knew she was my gal when we bonded over Dolly Parton.” Whinna appreciates Wilson because she’s eager to try new styles on clients (such as up-dos, extensions and large, soft curls). Plus, when Whinna has an event to go to, she turns to Wlison for a flawless makeup application. “People might think I’m nuts for getting my hair blown-out every week, but once Analicia gets her mitts on you, you’ll never want to wash your hair again,” she says. Cuts by Wilson at Salon Blue start at $55 and styling starts at $50.
