Halloween workouts in Chicago
Chicago gyms, including FFC and East Bank Club, are offering Halloween-themed exercise classes

Pumpkin workout class at Trump Hotel
Finally, an October 31 tradition for adults that doesn’t involve wearing a slutty costume: Chicago gyms are now offering Halloween-themed exercise classes. Stop by FFC’s South Loop location (10 S Clinton St, 312-902-2040) on Halloween and you’ll find a “spooky” Spin class offered at 6:15pm. The class features Halloween-appropriate music, costume-clad instructors and more. Who wants to bet they’ll play Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” in the class? Speaking of that classic MJ song, if the zombie background dancers in the music video scared the bejesus out of you back in the day, consider attending the Zombie Escape class at East Bank Club (500 N Kingsbury St, 312-527-5800). The 60-minute class, offered Tuesday 30 at 12:15pm, teaches you how to fight off zombies using combat moves and sprints. You could try to throw a pumpkin at the zombies (have they used that tactic in The Walking Dead yet?), but the gourds are probably better off being used as weights. At least that’s the plan at the Spa at Trump (401 N Wabash Ave, 312-588-8020) on Thursday 25. Trump’s Pumpkin Workout class, taking place at 6pm, incorporates a full-body workout using pumpkins instead of traditional resistance equipment. Pumpkins in varying weights and sizes are provided, and the class fee is $30 for nonmembers. Take all three classes and you’ll be able to eat as much candy corn as you want, guilt-free.
