Running along the lakefront and its beaches on the city's North Side from Ohio Street Beach to Ardmore Avenue in Edgewater, Lincoln Park is easily Chicago's largest park. Back in the 1800s, the southern portion was a graveyard called City Cemetery. The section closest to the Lincoln Park neighborhood is home to such top attractions as the Lincoln Park Zoo, Lincoln Park Conservatory, Theatre on the Lake and other things to do. The park also includes educational hubs such as the Chicago History Museum and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Or just throw down a blanket and grab a little shade among Lincoln Park's 1,200 acres.
