Your pants look like something that would be for sale at the "Body Worlds" exhibit gift shop. It's true! It's actually a whole pantsuit. Do you want me to just take my shirt off for the photo? I know that's a weird question. [Laughs]
Where does one buy a getup like that? It's this Australian company called Black Milk Clothing. They do all sorts of printed nylon gear: leggings, pantsuits, swimsuits, dresses. I have a huge collection. There's actually a huge community of people in Chicago who meet up at, like, a bar or a burlesque show and wear this weird, stretchy clothing with crazy prints. Last year, there was a meet-up at the Lincoln Park Zoo for ZooLights.
Do dudes wear it, too? Yes! Mostly the leggings. You can wear it for yoga and dance—it's super comfortable for things like that. It's definitely a theatrical thing.
