Most of Duckworth's installations are in private collections, but these three works can be viewed by the public
Earth, Water, Sky
Duckworth's first major commission in the United States, this 400-square-foot ceramic bas-relief (or stoneware mural) was made for the lobby of the Henry Hinds Laboratory for Geophysical Sciences at the University of Chicago (5734 S Ellis Ave between 57th and 59th Sts) in 1967–68.
Clouds Over Lake Michigan
This 240-square-foot stoneware mural was commissioned in 1976 by the Dresdner Bank, and was installed in its offices on an upper floor of the Chicago Board of Trade building. In 1987, it was moved to the lobby of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (141 W Van Buren St at LaSalle St).
This large, outdoor bronze sculpture will be permanently installed on the campus of Northeastern Illinois University (5500 N St. Louis Ave at Catalpa Ave) on Tuesday 3. This work of two seated figures with birds perched on their heads will be the only freestanding sculpture by Duckworth in Chicago.—Ruth Lopez
