That blows The temperature was easily 100 degrees, but the cast and crew of Quebec didn’t let the heat get to them—especially Saturday Night Live star Fred Armisen (pictured), who chilled out by a portable cooling machine in between takes. The movie, about two grocery-store managers competing for a promotion, has been filming around the city all month and will finish up in early September. Because most movies made outside of Hollywood are filmed in Canada, it’s ironic that Quebec landed on this side of the border. But we’ll take it. According to the Chicago Film Office, Quebec is the only major production shooting in the city this summer—which is disappointing news following the filming of The Break-Up here last year and the one-year Illinois film tax-credit bill Governor Blagojevich signed in May.—Kevin Aeh
