Fire and Ice: Vertigo Sky Lounge Launch | Photos
The weather outside may have been frightful, but that didn't stop a slew of chic Chicagoans from attending the relaunch of Vertigo Sky Lounge and Ice Bar at the Dana Hotel on Friday, January 13.
With temperatures in the high teens, the cool (in all senses of the word) crowd of scenesters kept warm from 8pm–2am with a crystallized fire pit, a choice of flaming shots and blankets provided by the Dana Hotel. Dancing to a live DJ helped patrons fend off the frigid air during the AKIRA fashion show of both winter wardrobes and spring styles. The Svedka-sponsored vodka bar offered both a live ice-sculpting station and almost enough liquid courage to talk to the Ford models strolling around the 1,000-square-foot patio.
So if you're eager enough to brave the cold, throw on your (faux) fur, wrap up your robe or put on your parka to enjoy the hottest ice bar in town.
