While the launch of the latest Apple product didn't match the fervor inspired by the recently released iPhone 5, the iPad Mini brought out a small contingent eager to be the first to get their hands on the diminutive device. Queued up around the corner from the Apple Store on Michigan Avenue, the early adopters patiently waited until employees unlocked the doors. Streaming into the lobby, the group rushed to be the first to make their purchases and get their hands on the new tablet's 7.9-inch display. The proud new owners seemed satisfied, though we'll have to wait and see if that feeling lasts past the inevitable launch of the new and improved iPad Mini 2 a few months from now.
It's okay to be a show-off.
