Chicago joins more than 500 cities around the world tomorrow in celebrating a day of free music with Make Music Chicago. Enjoy the first day of summer with free concerts showcasing beginners and professionals alike presented by Rush Hour Concerts. Throughout the day, concerts will be held at locations across the city including Daley Plaza, Lincoln Park Zoo, Old Town School of Folk Music and more. Plus, tune in to 98.7WFMT for a day of live broadcasts from Make Music Chicago.
The day of free music concludes with the grand finale at St. James Cathedral (65 E Huron St) from 5–9pm, featuring two hours of music from Spektral Quartet, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet and much more before turning into a street party with family programming and three stages of international music.
