Pitchfork Music Festival 2013, Sunday: Faces in the crowd
The third day of the 2013 Pitchfork Music Festival was markedly different in tone. It was, quite simply, far more fun. Following a rather mellow and folk-leaning Friday and a largely brooding Saturday, a host of rappers livened up Sunday. Killer Mike slayed crowds. Lil B kept things surreal. M.I.A. drove the masses bonkers through technical difficulties. And, of course, R. Kelly capped it all off with a stunning and outlandish (well, for the festival, not for him) performance. Unsurprisingly, it felt like the largest crowd that had ever packed into Union Park for the indie-rock-leaning affair. We were there to snap pictures of it all.
