Said the Whale Vancouver's Said the Whale has released generally well-received discs, but in a fit of cheek the chirpy folk-rock group was the subject of a CBC documentary called Winning America about trying to parlay its north-of-the-border success into something more States-sized. Needless to say, it's been a struggle, but the group has a great attitude and enthusiasm to spare, which translates live. Bottom Lounge. 7:30pm. $12, advance $10.
