"Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me!" Carl Kassel is the official scorekeeper and Peter Sagel hosts this hilarious NPR news quiz, recorded in front of a live audience at Chicago's Chase Bank Auditorium (and occasionally other locations). GAY & LESBIAN
FKA We don't know if they're painting smiles on people's faces at the door or if they're mixing something into the booze, but everyone seems to be in a good mood at this energetic and inclusive queer party that's been going strong for seven years now. Big Chicks. 9pm.
KT Tunstall Scottish singer/songwriter KT Tunstall stands out among the pool of females that she draws comparisons to, such as Dido, Katie Melua and Fiona Apple. Feeling an acoustic guitar is sometimes too limiting, her live show incorporates an Akai Headrush foot pedal that allows her to spot record multiple times and loop each section continuously, and thus become her own one-woman backup band. Park West. 7:30pm. $27.
Oktoberfest Pub Crawl Join in on this year's Oktoberfest festivities by doing a good ol' pub crawl. CitySwarm is inviting Chicagoans to join them in a three-stop tour around Chicago's best-known German bars. The crawl will stop at the historic Berghoff, Chicago Brauhaus and Prost, where only the brave will order a Das Boot of beer. Early bird tickets are available for $36. The Berghoff. 6:30pm. $46.
