Designer shopping alert: Decadestwo.1
I'll keep this quick, because there's a only a few more hours left for shopping today. But if you've always dreamed about filling your closet with a few more designer names (and I'm not talking about the cast-offs found at Filene's Basement), head over to The Ritz-Carlton hotel (160 E Pearson St, 312-573-5160). Decadestwo.1, the Hollywood-based luxury retailer that consigns 21st-century designer goods from the closets of celebrities, stylists and fashionistas, has set up shop in the hotel's luxe 28th floor suite for a two-day only pop-up shop. It's the company's first time in Chicago, but I predict it won't be the last. Brand co-owner, Christos Garkinos, told me that he's planning even more pop-up shops next year. In the meantime, the shop is open (by appointment) until 2pm today. You can R.S.V.P. by e-mailing Todd@decadestwo.com. When you get there, expect to find labels such as Chanel, Balenciaga, Louboutin, Gucci and more marked way down. (Dresses/coats start at around $300; shoes start at $175).
