Online party and event planning service Galaist.com announced its arrival on the scene this week with a soiree on Fulton Market featuring live music and Hideout Dance Party DJs Hologram Trav, Lackie P and Dirty Dish—and bites and bottles from various Chicago caterers and restaurants. If I'd only known about the Belgian beers beforehand, I would have been there, too. Obviously, in this economy, those party planning dollars are coveted but Galaist arrived with a refreshing dose of business optimism. The dotcom can only be hoping that carries through those crucial first quarter results. Visit Galaist.com for more info on what they do.

It's okay to be a show-off.
