Ice-rink opening at John Hancock Center
An ice-skating rink is set to open in the John Hancock Center Observatory (875 N Michigan Ave) in January 2011. The 94th floor observatory sits more than 1,000 feet above the Mag Mile, which will make the forthcoming rink the world's highest. Yowza. More details and photos will be released tomorrow, so stay tuned.
The new rink comes on the heels of a few additions to the John Hancock Center: Over the last couple years, the observatory has rolled out a cafe and full bar, augmented reality telescopes (pictured), and a sleek design.
