CW's fall 2010 line-up
With only two new shows on its schedule, the CW seems to be making an extra effort to look busy, moving several of its shows around to new nights. Supernatural seems to get the shortest end of the stick, getting moved to Friday night after Smallville, with a new show nabbing it’s plum Thursday night slot. 90210, One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected also get new homes, the former on Mondays at 7pm and the latter two filling out the Tuesday night schedule.
7-8pm — 90210
8-9pm — Gossip Girl
7-8pm — One Tree Hill
8-9pm — Life Unexpected
7-8pm — America’s Next Top Model
8-9pm — Hellcats — When her scholarship to Lancer University is canceled, Marti Perkins does the unthinkable and tries out for the school’s cheerleading squad (named, you guessed it, the Hellcats), in an effort to gain an athletic scholarship. High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale and Aly & AJ’s Alyson Michalka star.
7-8pm — The Vampire Diaries
8-9pm — Nikita — After two movies and a TV show it didn't seem like anyone would remake La Femme Nikita again, but leave it to the CW to try. Maggie Q (Live Free or Die Hard and Mission: Impossible III) stars as the the titular character, who, as a troubled teen on death row, was rescue by an agency known only as Division. The shadowy organization faked her execution and trained her as an assassin and ultimately betrayed her. Three years later, she’s returned, seeking to the settle the score against those that stabbed her in the back. While the CW once housed great female characters like Buffy Summers and Veronica Mars, they’ve been drifting recently towards much more vapid and materialistic archetypes, so it’s refreshing to see a butt-kicking chick making a home on the network again.
7-8pm — Smallville
8-9pm — Supernatural
