Bored at Work: The purrrfect shot
I'm much more of a dog person, but I gotta say, little kitties with large weapons are pretty gosh darn cute. Meowcenaries is a ridiculously addictive game of guerrilla warfare in which you play the titular characters, fighting off the evil Badkats. There are several missions that you progressively lead your cats through, including saving hostages and blowing up tanks. It is possible for members of your team to get picked off in battle, but you won't lose unless all four of your cats die. Once the mission is complete, you have the option of attempting it again, without losing any of your soldiers, or pushing forward. The surviving members of your team will continue on to the next mission with greater power, while the deceased members will be replaced by newbies with less experience.
What's really great about the game is that it saves your progress. I first tried it out last week, getting sucked into several missions, and when I came back today to revisit it for this post, I found that I could continue my old game without having to work my way through the missions I'd already completed. Who knew kitties blowing each other up in the forest could be such an endless source of adorable fun?
