Charlie Wheelan is...Upside-Down Water Bottle Man

Wait, make that Patriotic Light Bulb Man...sorry, no, he's The Bright Knight!

In any case, it appears that Fifth District candidate Charlie Wheelan is trying to make up for his lack of endorsements, money, polling, etc. with a not-yet-viral video takeoff on The Dark Knight.

Wheelan appears in a confusingly-branded costume as The Bright Knight, who's storming into the Fifth District to save it from Rod Blagojevich, George Bush, Dick Cheney and a bunch of other people who have already been kicked out of office. Perhaps next he can save us from the tyranny of Herbert Hoover.

To be fair to Wheelan, the Fifth could do a lot worse than elect a Ph.D.-toting economist during a recession, but that message is a little lost among all the klutzy comic book references (his campaign Web site does a much better job). A nickel's worth of free advice: You wrote a book called Naked Economics, sir. I think THAT YouTube video pretty much writes itself, don't you?
