This week's Chicagoland improv show (Tues, 8pm) at The Annoyance is being foregone in favor of more literary pursuits. Brett Paesel, former Annoyance company member, is back in town and will be reading excerpts from her latest funny story, Mommies Who Drink.
Paesel was in the first ever Annoyance show, Splatter Theatre, and has since moved to Hollywood, landing all sorts of acting roles; Curb Your Enthusiasm, Six Feet Under and a cast member on Mr. Show.
The show's free, just call 773-561-HONK to reserve space. Oh, and bring your reading glasses. Don't forget to let comedy@timeoutchicago.com know what you thought.

It's okay to be a show-off.
