Tuesday's best bets: Chicago: The Musical, Pecha Kucha Volume 18

DANCE/THEATER - Chicago: The Musical
John O'Hurley (Seinfeld’s J. Peterman, Dancing With the Stars) headlines as Billy Flynn in this one-week touring engagement of the über-successful Broadway revival, heading into its 15th consecutive year. Choreography is currently in the capable hands of a former member of the Joffrey Ballet and Nederlands Dans Theater: Gary Chryst, a longtime associate of Ann Reinking, the authority on original show cocreator Bob Fosse. Through Jun 12. Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre (24 W Randolph St, 312-902-1400, broadwayinchicago.com). 7:30pm; $30–$95.
ART & DESIGN - Artist Talk: John Henderson
Henderson speaks about the cast-metal abstract paintings in his UBS 12x12 show. Museum of Contemporary Art (220 E Chicago Ave, 312-280-2660, mcachicago.org). 6pm. FREE.
ART & DESIGN - Pecha Kucha Volume 18
Speakers including Archeworks' Mobile Food Collective, Orange Skin founder Obi Nwazota, and treehouse builder Daniel Freedberg have less than seven minutes each to discuss their areas of expertise at this fun, fast-paced slide show. Martyrs', 3855 N Lincoln Ave (800-594-8499, pecha-kucha.org/night/chicago). 8pm. $10. 21 and over.
MUSIC - Michael Chapman + William Tyler
Veteran British guitarist Michael Chapman combines the visionary slant of Robbie Basho and his ilk with bleak, introspective folksinging. You can hear his four decades of experience in his haggard yet moving voice. Nashville's William Tyler plays rambling guitar instrumentals that reconcile the rustic and the mystical. Schubas, 8pm, $12.
