Chicago has 28 sister cities—the first one was Warsaw, Poland, which Mayor Richard J. Daley chose in 1960. At the sixth annual Chicago Sister Cities International Festival, held Aug 8–12 in Daley Plaza, Chicago's global siblings celebrated together, with food, dance and music from across the world.
