BOOKS
Alex Shakar at Lush Wines (Tue)
Shakar celebrates the release of his new novel, Luminarium, with a party at Lush. That's an expensive ticket in, but it gets you a copy of the book, as well as complimentary snacks and wine.
Christopher Boucher at Quimby's (Wed)
By the time Boucher reaches Quimby's for tonight's reading, he'll have driven his 1972 Volkswagen Beetle across the country, promoting his new novel, How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive. He's joined tonight by Adam Levin (The Instructions), who pretty much just has to drive a couple of blocks.
Kids' Book Swap Night (Wed)
Get in one last bit of summer reading goodness by dropping in and swapping books at WCF tonight. Kids ages 6–10 are welcome from 6–7pm, and ages 10–14 should stop by between 7pm and 8pm. There will also be pizza, soda, and free advance reading copies of upcoming books.
