Simply More by FIAT drive-in movie theater hits River North this weekend

Last month, Italy's Fiat bought another chunk of Chrysler from the U.S. government. Soon, it will own almost 60% of the Michigan automaker. Times sure are changing, right? On the upside of all this, the door has opened for Fiat to bring its very popular, affordable and frankly adorable Fiat 500 to America. This weekend, Friday 19–Sunday 21 from noon to midnight, Fiat throws a get-acquainted party with a bit of Italian flare for the public with gelato, bocce ball and test-drives of brand new 2012 Fiat 500s at 521 N Clark Street. TOC promises to stop by and check things out. Beginning at 8pm, Fiat nods to Cinecittà (sort of), turning the 40 Fiats into a pop-up, drive-in movie theater each night showing a vintage film (The Italian Job, for example) and its modern re-make. Get it? Remaking a classic.
