X-Flight roller coaster slated for Spring 2012 debut at Six Flags Great America | Video

Like me, you might have thought that rollercoaster technology had maxed out with the Grizzly or some similarly named coaster from the late '80s which rocked your teenage world. My adolescence may be frozen in amber, but coaster crazies always want more and more, evidently. The X-Flight wing coaster will make its home in the County Fair section of the Six Flags Great America park in Gurnee in Spring 2012. Construction begins this Fall. Designed by acclaimed Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard, also responsible for Six Flags Great America favorites: Raging Bull, SUPERMAN: Ultimate Flight and BATMAN: The Ride. I think you will agree that if the simulator video can make your stomach churn, the real thing is going to be causing some epic upchucking when it gets rolling.
