Homemade beats
MusicNOW explores the best new music being made today.

African composer and instrument builder Victor Gama brings his unique musical voice to MusicNOW at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in a work fusing homemade instruments and imaginative digital projections. The evening will be hosted by the CSO’s Mead Composers-in-Residence Mason Bates and Anna Clyne as musicians explore the most vibrant new music happening today. The concert also features a chamber work by Bates and a mystical flute showpiece by Evan Ziporyn. Guests are invited to stay for a postconcert reception where they can meet the artists while grooving to beats from illmeasures Chicago.
