Diverse, energetic Logan Square hosted the annual and varied Milwaukee Ave Arts Festival once again this year—turning the increasingly bustling corridor into an mini arts district for three days. Headed up at night by local bands such as the Eternals [photos], the sprawling festival had one hopping to and fro across Milwaukee Avenue for everything from free language classes, pop-up restaurants to booths representing dozens of art galleries featuring the works of local artists. For many Logan Squarers and their friends, the hot hot heat made fest cruising a bit of a challenge—which resulted in more lackadaisical lounging during the daytime.
