ICE benefit at Longman & Eagle
ICE—the arty, progressive International Contemporary Ensemble—throws its annual benefit at Longman & Eagle on Sunday. This year it's being chaired by the lovely Scott Hunter, an avid collector of work by Chicago artists.
ICE members will perform throughout the party and Longman & Eagle—notable connoisseurs of music and art—will serve up a small bite menu with items like rabbit pate with fruit mostarda and spicy crab fritters with saffron remoulade.
But I'm most enthused about the auction. Thanks to Hunter's artist ties, it boasts work from artstars Claire Sherman, Julia Fischbach, Gladys Nilsson and others. I'm loving the work (pictured) by Hairy Who artist Nilsson—and with this being a charity auction, it'll likely be an exceptional deal.
Summer ICE benefit, Longman & Eagle, 2657 N Kedzie Ave (iceorg.org/events/event/gala). June 5, 5pm–7:30pm; $150 (discount for couples), VIP (starts at 4pm) $250.
