Redmoon Halloween Bash

Friday, Oct 28

Performance and puppetry company Redmoon is legendary for throwing a wicked, family-friendly Halloween party. In 2009, the White House even invited the group to perform its All Hallows’ Eve spectacle on the front lawn. This year the company switches things up a bit with the Redmoon Halloween Bash. This go-round, the free event featuring sinister costumed performers eschews the kiddies for the drinking crowd. Just stay relatively sober: You won’t want to stand in the way of the fire organ’s 20-foot flames. Redmoon Central, 1463 W Hubbard St (312-850-8440, ext 100; boxoffice@redmoon.org). 9pm–1am; free.

WEEKEND BUZZ Chicago Shakes’s Follies gets an extension. | Joan Baez sings at Symphony Center. | Pump Room packs ’em in. | Halloween’s hot ticket: Galaween.
