Blue Line Coffee Crawl tasting flight

Julie Goding

Put down that 31-ounce tumbler of morning mud and cleanse your over-caffeinated palate with a more mindful brew as you take a stroll down this mojo lane. Caffentures, a company that’s looking to turn casual drinkers into coffee enthusiasts, is holding its second Blue Line Coffee Crawl.

Starting at Ipsento Coffee, before moving onto Buzz: Killer Espresso and Caffé Streets, the crawl seeks to help you discover your perfect cup by answering questions like “what is your perfect brew temperature?” and “how should I brew this coffee?” Take your taste buds to a higher level with three flights of coffee, prepared by each shop’s owners and seasoned baristas. You'll get your snob on, rating and discussing differences in each brew using the included tasting note cards.

And unlike its boozy brethren, this crawl won’t leave you with an uncontrollable buzz and unremembered bruises as the flights only translate to about 16 ounces of java. So while you won’t leave with a souvenir headache to remind you of your stop-hopping drinking, you might just leave with a new best part of waking up.

Crawl begins at Ipsento Coffee House and Roaster, 2035 N Western Ave (773-904-8177, ipsento.com). Aug 25 at 9am; $30.
