Record prediction
10–6
How they’ll do it
“Though it’s difficult to say right now, on paper there’s a lot of promise. Brandon Marshall is one of the best wide receivers they’ve had in years. Battering-ram running back Michael Bush should deepen their run game, too. Jay Cutler’s now free to play to his strengths from the rigid offense of former offensive coordinator Mike Martz. Maybe they’ll go 9–7. It matters if linebacker Brian Urlacher is able to play.”
Most anticipated season matchup
Week 2, at Green Bay Packers

How they’ll do it
“Wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery are red zone threats. They’ll help to take a lot of pressure off running back Matt Forte. By allowing Cutler to play his game—no slinging the ball New Orleans Saints’ style. Devin Hester’s speed will definitely be a factor. I’m excited about the season. Imagine if wide receiver Johnny Knox (He’s on the injured reserve list) was healthy.”
Most anticipated season matchup
Week 4, at Dallas Cowboys

How they’ll do it
“They’ll win the Super Bowl. Why? Why not? They’ve got a rifle-armed quarterback with weapons all over the field, Brandon Marshall at receiver and two stud running backs in Matt Forte and Michael Bush. I’ll be an optimist and say the offensive line holds up, the defense remains solid, and the special teams unit is one of the best in the league. It’s Super Bowl or bust! Or 6–10.”
Most anticipated season matchup
Week 3, at home against the Rams

How they’ll do it
“If we can get at least eight or nine games with a healthy Urlacher, we can take back the division from the Green Bay Packers and make it to the Super Bowl.”
Most anticipated season matchup
Week 4, at Dallas Cowboys
