Tue–Fri 10am–4pm; Sat, Sun 10am–5pm
$15, students and seniors $10, kids ages 4–13 $7, kids under 3 and Tuesdays free. You don’t have to be pre-med to appreciate the strange assortment of surgery-related artifacts at this unusual museum. Shudder at the sight of a 3,000-year-old Peruvian skull drill or the Civil War–era amputee kit. There’s also a rare, working iron lung, a re-created X-ray lab featuring Emil Grubbe’s turn-of-the-century equipment and a gallery space with revolving anatomy- and surgery-related art exhibitions.
